So what really goes on when the island’s most elite event planners throw an event in their own home? Step inside and take a peek…

Wedding and corporate event planning comes naturally to Navine and Craig, directors of Cardamom Events. So one spring afternoon, they invited a group of personal friends to enjoy and alfresco lunch by the pool of their exquisite Ibiza villa and made it look both relaxed and luxurious in an effortless manner.

One of the Cardamom team’s in-house chefs Ally Beatty prepared a delectable menu of fresh seasonal plates. Highlights included his whole cauliflower shwarma with pomegranate, coriander and pine nuts, his heavenly slow-roasted vegetable antipasti and his bite-sized edamame sliders. The wine flowed and the sun shone. A perfect primavera day…

One of our gorgeous couples wanted something special and sweet this year. We did a vanilla bean lactose free cake topper covered in marshmallows and dripping chocolate (to cut), with a macaroon tower alongside it (raspberry, vanilla and almond flavours), which added some colour and fun to this beautiful wedding.

Canapés. Usually used as part of an event opening, good canapés play a large factor in an event kicking off well. From supporting the events theme or concept, to being an aspect of focus for guests who need a conversation starter, to keeping hungry stomachs at bay ahead of the main food service, canapés really are an important factor to consider. In Ibiza, many opt for Spanish themed canapés, which really set the scene for an event. Here is our perfect recommendation of event canapés for this summer, from our event menu:

Full swing in events season

We’ve just had a pretty busy few days! Congratulations to Elizabeth & Ben plus 90 guests, who we created a three day wedding for. Here’s what we delivered…

Staring with a rehearsal dinner at La Paloma on Thursday night, we took over the venue for a romantic rehearsal dinner. Guests arrives to a decorated venue to enjoy cava fruit cocktails and canapes, welcome speeches & then a three course dinner with optional seabass, filet steak or Aubergine for mains. This really was the perfect way for the guests to meet each other and start the celebrations.

The next morning began with a private yoga session for the bridal party and beach session for the groomsmen. A fresh and healthy lunch followed while everyone got ready and the photographer began to take photos. Guests started to arrive via VIP transport from 17:00hrs to a mythical forest space. Flip flops and sun parasols were given to guests to keep cool before the bride entered in a stunning Jenny Packham dress and the service was conducted by a family friend. Afterwards, the flower girls led the guests through the forest with tambourines and shakers to a private villa where a modern string quartet played and guests enjoyed cava before speeches at sunset. Next up was dining in a romantic pomegranate courtyard where a menu of beetroot carpaccio, slow roasted lamb and espresso martinis were served. The party then followed in a moroccan garden including a DJ, saxophonist, panoramic projections across the surrounding landscape and dancing under the stars. Nannies took care of the children while the adults relaxed and enjoyed themselves.

The final day of events then came, in the form of a mini festival! This started with bloody mary’s to cure the previous days drinking, alongside a luxury hog roast, crepe and ice cream stations and some relaxing head and shoulder massages. Next came face embellishment, high end dress up items, a gine station, DJ, percussionist and dancing. Marshmellows by the fire pit then arrived alongside a snack of mini mac & cheese pots (a favourite of the groom!) and finally a surprise fire show. Photos to follow.

Running an events, catering & hire agency successfully in Ibiza requires a strong mixture of very different components. To satisfy an international clientele, we have to think fast, be creative and respond in a variety of languages across a globe of timezones.

Tastings and client visits!

We are currently in tasting season! All of this years clients are flying over to the island to have meetings with our venues, suppliers and for us to talk them through how we will manage their events for them! Yesterday a Russian bride of ours had a meeting with us about their wedding at Atzaro including entertainment, itinerary & food. Today our Events Assistant Helene has met another client Katie, at our florist and now we are doing a food menu tasting for a wedding we are catering in June with the lovely Fiona & Ryan from Scotland. On top of that we have been playing with how we will design a dessert buffet table at a wedding we are managing at a private villa overlooking Es Vedra – check out the picture!

Estamos en  temporada de degustaciones! Todos los clientes confirmados de este
año están volando a la isla para reunirse con los propietarios de nuestros
lugares favoritos y con nuestros proveedores  para que podamos explicarles como planearemos
y gestionaremos sus eventos! Ayer una de nuestras novias natural de Rusia estuvo
reunida con nosotros y hemos repasado todos los detalles de su boda en Atzaró; el
entretenimiento , el itinerario y la comida que será servida. Hoy una de nuestras
asistenta de eventos Helene ha recibido a Katie, en nuestra floristería
predilecta y ahora mismo estamos haciendo una degustación del menú que será
servido en la boda de la encantadora Fiona y su futuro esposo Ryan, los dos de
Escocia. Además de eso hemos estado jugando con el diseño de la mesa de buffet
de postres en una boda muy divertida que estamos preparando en una villa
privada con vistas a Es Vedra – echa un vistazo a la foto!

Covid 19 has caused the postponement of many events, which is an event of Force Majeure. This is very frustrating for all but we will work with all of our clients to rearrange events. We will honour our contracts for all events and will apply any deposits paid against a rearranged date. Should clients cancel their events then unfortunately deposits will be forfeit in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
