This year we created a stunning wedding in a private villa near to Cala Vadella where the bride wanted something beautiful to happen at the end of her ceremony.
With our creative hats on we sourced some butterflies which are ethically kept, to be released on demand and float out into the world, as a symbol of the start of their journey into marriage. More information available from [email protected].

Every year the UK’s BBC Radio One descends on Ibiza in early August for a jam packed weekend of fun and this year is no exception – it’s seen as the weekend to be in Ibiza and we can’t wait to experience it’s 21st year on our beautiful island. Tonight starts with the annual free party hosted by Annie Mac at Ushuaia and follows with Essential mixes and a range of the radio shows being broadcast live from the island and featuring music from some of dance musics most iconic and popular DJs. Although we are crazy busy putting on our own Cardamom events all summer, we do love to show some appreciation for other events happening & try to go to them (especially free ones!) where possible – plus, it attracts a whole host of other brands and celebrities to join! Last night saw Warner Music UK host a yacht party in the middle of the Ibiza Town port which brought guests in golf buggies through the town including Pete Tong, Nick Grimshaw, David Guetta, James Blunt, Monki & Robin Schultz.

Ibiza in mid summer can often feel chaotic – the island is full, the temperatures are scorching and everyone inhabiting the island for work or pleasure always has a packed agenda, meaning finding somewhere with a feeling a serenity can often be a real challenge. Alas, when a new venture opens which offers a tranquil environment, beautiful decor, a tasty (and different) menu, plus a fully managed children’s area…we get pretty excited.
Last night Cardamom visited the new Lamuella Ibiza (previously Aura and Sacca), which is easily accessible off the upgraded San Juan road (travelling towards the north of Ibiza) – and an absolute delight from start to finish. The venue is generously spaced out, has an outdoor/indoor feeling with it’s tented roof and had a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. The concept is a “holistic lifestyle experience” combining healthy fusion Middle Eastern and Asian cuisine with art, entertainment and what they call a “unique experience for the soul”. As previous owners of an Asian food venue in Ibiza with a busy lifestyle and family on tow, this concept ran close to our hearts, and we simply can’t wait to go back.

So the population statistics for Ibiza and Formentera are pretty extreme winter to summer. The island host around 100,000 at their lowest point in winter and 400,000 in summer – up to four times the amount of people! Our top hidden beach to escape the madness in the mid summer months is…
Cala Olivera
This unspoilt mini beach is hidden inside the gated community of Roca Llisa. Drive down the rocky road (which has been flattened for better access in 2016) and find a tranquil heaven on beach, rocks and crystal clear pools of water to explore. There is also a wonderful beach shack which serves fresh fish and snacks all day long in summer.
