2016 has been a successful summer of progression for Cardamom so far. Whilst our weddings, private events and catering projects have remained fruitful and something we are incredibly passionate towards, we have also focused on delivering some key projects for our Corporate clients – which is becoming an increased area of focus for professional events happening in Ibiza. In line with this, Belgium born Dirk Aerts joined our team at the start of the summer. Combining his wealth of experience in luxury group travel, business incentive projects and corporate hospitality, Dirk also has an impressive list of incredible corporate event suppliers and specialists on the island – making him the perfect addition to our team.

So far, June and July delivered some interesting corporate projects including an employee incentive project for an international catering business which saw 160 employees travel to Ibiza for three days of incentives at the Palacio de Congresso (Ibiza’s conference hall). This included a cooking show, catering and all transport managed by Cardamom. Following this we partnered with our friends Amplified and Kit & Caboodle to work on an energy drink prize winners event with 30 guests across two weeks, where we delivered a full schedule of on site catering which saw our chef Juan Pi flip Burgers with Ibiza DJ legend Carl Cox! We also supported a luxury boat event for press surrounding this project with our catering as well.

October will see the next corporate project for us, which is an employee incentive project for international travel company. 120 guests will enjoy a fantastic agenda of beach games plus a high end gala ginner – all by team Cardamom.

Full swing in events season

We’ve just had a pretty busy few days! Congratulations to Elizabeth & Ben plus 90 guests, who we created a three day wedding for. Here’s what we delivered…

Staring with a rehearsal dinner at La Paloma on Thursday night, we took over the venue for a romantic rehearsal dinner. Guests arrives to a decorated venue to enjoy cava fruit cocktails and canapes, welcome speeches & then a three course dinner with optional seabass, filet steak or Aubergine for mains. This really was the perfect way for the guests to meet each other and start the celebrations.

The next morning began with a private yoga session for the bridal party and beach session for the groomsmen. A fresh and healthy lunch followed while everyone got ready and the photographer began to take photos. Guests started to arrive via VIP transport from 17:00hrs to a mythical forest space. Flip flops and sun parasols were given to guests to keep cool before the bride entered in a stunning Jenny Packham dress and the service was conducted by a family friend. Afterwards, the flower girls led the guests through the forest with tambourines and shakers to a private villa where a modern string quartet played and guests enjoyed cava before speeches at sunset. Next up was dining in a romantic pomegranate courtyard where a menu of beetroot carpaccio, slow roasted lamb and espresso martinis were served. The party then followed in a moroccan garden including a DJ, saxophonist, panoramic projections across the surrounding landscape and dancing under the stars. Nannies took care of the children while the adults relaxed and enjoyed themselves.

The final day of events then came, in the form of a mini festival! This started with bloody mary’s to cure the previous days drinking, alongside a luxury hog roast, crepe and ice cream stations and some relaxing head and shoulder massages. Next came face embellishment, high end dress up items, a gine station, DJ, percussionist and dancing. Marshmellows by the fire pit then arrived alongside a snack of mini mac & cheese pots (a favourite of the groom!) and finally a surprise fire show. Photos to follow.

The Ibiza catering association is here to ensure the health & safety of all caterers meets the legal standard required, across the island. Those who are part of it have regular checks & have to pass assessments of standards to push & encourage increased levels of safety education & improvement across Ibiza. Cardamom are extremely proud to be part of the association & support it’s movement as an organisation and work hard to encourage others on the island to do so.
