A 3 DAY BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA

After more than 2 years of planning, we finally got to celebrate one of our client’s big birthdays, with friends and family flying in from around the world to congratulate and celebrate together.
Day 1 of the 4 Day extravaganza kicked off with an intimate dinner for 23 at Roto in Marina Botafoch for close family and friends before the rest arrived from their home countries. With welcome drinks of Miraval Rosé and Laurent Perrier Champagne, the guests enjoyed a sumptuous meal of Asian and Oriental dishes of Tiger Crawfish Tempura, Red Tuna Tataki, Chicken with ‘ras el hanout’ and vegetable couscous, cooked at low temperature and served with vegetable couscous, yoghurt sauce, mint, mojo sauce with coriander and Piparra peppers.

Day 2 was the big White Party at Atzaro Agroturismo with close friends interviewing the 50 VIP guests as they arrived “Red Carpet Style” to be greeted by fine wines of Domaine Vacheron les Romains Sancerre, Tommassi Amarone Valpolicella and, of course, her signature Champagne for welcome drinks before sitting down to a bespoke menu chosen by each guest individually. A logistical challenge to say the least but organised and executed with Atzaro’s support. The chosen music genre began with subtle Bossa Nova with the Elena Tovar Trio and then moved onto classic soul tracks with DJ Santana & the amazing soulful voice of Keisher Downie accompanied by one of Ibiza’s finest sax players, Anastasia McQueen and 3 Gogo dancers from The Shop Ibiza in “diamonds” and feathers to present the 3 cakes for the birthday girl and her friends who could not celebrate their birthdays over Covid.

Day 3, was “Boho Chic” day at Nobu Hotel, a more relaxed, informal drinks and dinner, with a bespoke section of dishes from the infamous Nobu menu and the delectable Chambao Mediterranean menu all served poolside, beach front and under a tirade of overhead icicle fairy lights and colourful countryside flowers from Ramo de Flores. The chosen bespoke drinks for this night ranged from Sancerre Pascal Jolivet from France, Barolo Serralunga Ferdinando Principiano, from Italy, Château d’Esclans Whispering Angel, Rosé from Provence, and Taittinger Champagne along side Nobu’s signature Cava Sangria & Japanese Mojitos with fun beats from DJ Tom Grimes to seal the deal!

Final day of the birthday tour brought us back to Chiringuito Blue in Santa Eulalia, one of our family favourites for a relaxed “Beach Chic” evening where the guests enjoyed Blue’s finest dishes of Black lentils taboule, quinoa, roasted beetroot with salt and yogurt, White fish Sashimi, tomato seed, lemon & olive oil, Half Free Range Chicken Chargrilled with sage and lemon, Charcoal grilled Filet of Seabass and Sliced Galician 25 day dry aged Entrecote Beef with Chimichurri sauce. All finished off with vegan chocolate ice cream sandwiches, piña colada tarts with cheesecake mousse and a great LED light performance from Alchemy Flame.
All in all, great memories were made by all and the group were one of the nicest set of people from all nationalities and an event that Cardamom was proud to organise and be apart of.
