A Wonderful Ibiza Jewish Wedding

Back in May, Cardamom Events Ibiza had the pleasure of working together with Michaela and David to design, create and deliver the most magical of Ibiza Jewish weddings. A black tie affair, the focus was on the big family that arrived en masse to help the beautiful couple celebrate…The ceremony, dinner and party were held at the stunning Hotel Xereca in Puig d’en Vals,  on the outskirts of Ibiza Town. Starting off in the afternoon, guests were welcomed and seated for the ceremony in the warm early summer sun.After the ceremony, the wedding party was seated under a purpose-built marquee and treated to a live PA by London band Sway and a delicious 3 course silver service dinner.

Following the heartfelt and hilarious speeches, the party continued late into the night with lots of dancing! Definitely a day that everyone in attendance will remember forever…

Indian Sikh Wedding Meets Ibiza Chic

Cardamom Events founder and director Navine Colligan was recently asked to create, design and execute the perfect Sikh wedding for her niece. The only catch being it had to be here in Ibiza!

Navine said “It’s very hard and a lot of pressure organising Indian weddings in the UK and India now as Indians normally have a guest list of 500 people on average. So destination weddings have become extremely  popular and Ibiza is an amazing backdrop for these amazing colourful events.

Being a Punjabi Sikh myself, I love all elements of these weddings and can put my heart and soul into the ceremonial aspects that are the strength of our Indian culture.”
The venue was a must as Reena (Navine’s niece) had always been to Ibiza over the years and fell in love with her great times there so Atzaro was the chosen venue.
From a Ladies Sangeet, to a Mehndi party night and a Sikh matrimonial ceremony, non stop Bhangra beats and folk dancing from early morning till early hours – this 3 day event was mind-blowing!
Sikh ceremonies are near impossible to do outside a temple, so this was a real test of Cardamom’s capabilities! But of course, Craig and Navine love a challenge and with this whole event being so important to them, they felt that it demonstrated some real strengths of how they can achieve the unique and traditional!

Cake Project Ibiza & Barcelona- Lauren De Vries

Cardamom Events would like to introduce Lauren, a 25 year old pastry chef from Amsterdam.

After graduating from her bachelor in Marketing and Communication, she moved to London to do a patisserie course at Le Cordon Bleu.

Back in Amsterdam she started her first company: Life of Pie Amsterdam.

In a small conservatory on the canals the company and her love for baking grew. Developing her baking, assembling and decorating skills, more orders started to roll in.

Up to a point that Lauren could no longer handle it on her own. Together with a great team they worked around the clock to turn each and every cake into a masterpiece.

Now, three years later Lauren has started a new adventure. Flying back and forth between Barcelona (where she currently lives) and Ibiza (her favourite place on earth), she bake cakes for several events.

Not only does she do birthdays, she can make you a wicked wedding cake, babyshower cake or any other event you might possibly need a cake for (or any other sweet for that matter)!

Pick your flavour, pick your style and Lauren will do her absolute best to turn your wishes into a piece of edible art.

The partnership of Anna Wild and Jeremy Christopher joined together through their mutual love of their creative worlds.

Anna originally hails from England’s north west and Jeremy from the rolling hills of Dorset, and their history with Ibiza spans over two decades.

They fell in love with the island in their teens and have been coming back ever since. They now base their life/work hubs between Ibiza and London’s East end.

Most of the year, the couple live in a gorgeous little finca in one of their favourite spots, in the countryside towards the north of the island and sometimes they live in London. They love to blend the hustle and bustle of the most creative city in the world with the serenity and magic of Ibiza.

When they’re not shooting and beautifying, Anna and Jeremy practise yoga, box and love to hike, exploring secret spots on the island – some of the most beautiful locations where they get a lot of our inspiration for shoots.

It was their love for fashion and beauty that influenced their desire to work with photography, hair and makeup. Many years of experience in those fields means they’re always up to date with current as well as classic trends, which most certainly influence their unique approach in the wedding and events industry, where they love to fuse these worlds together.

With over 10 years experience in their respective industries in London and beyond, the pair have worked with some of the world’s most highly respected brands, such as Qatar Airways, BBC, MAC Cosmetics, London Fashion Week, Sony.

Cardamom Events Ibiza -Mercedes Benz Corporate Affair!

 

 

Automotive brand Mercedes-Benz brilliantly chose Ibiza as the venue for an international meeting which started in February this year and attracted more than 13,000 people to the island, including sales and post-sales personnel.

Cardamom Events Ibiza were asked to organise an intimate reception dinner for 75 of the Dutch and Belgian delegates at the glorious La Escollera Restaurant on Es Cavallet beach.

Guests were treated to canapés of shrimp tempura, crispy Californian sushi, tuna and salmon tartar spoons, Gazpacho shots and goats cheese mousse cones.

Sharing platters of Iberico ham, pimientos padron and tuna carpaccio were served as starters to everyone’s  delight!

The main attraction was the hake ‘a la espalda’ with garlic and mild chilli with a chocolate marquise as the main attraction…

After enjoying their delightful meal, the delegates then danced the night away to their own playlist of country music! The restaurant even surprised one of the delegates with a birthday cake for his special day!

The evening was yet another success to add to Cardamom’s impressive corporate event portfolio!

Mimi’s 3rd Birthday Party by Cardamom Events

 

Mimi’s 3rd birthday has become quite the way to begin the year for the Cardamom Events family. This year was no different with the design brief being that it should be non-stressful for adults and maximum fun for kids! Believe it or not, kids’ parties in Ibiza can be quite challenging as they are usually big family affairs…

The event took place at Can Xarc, a Spanish family restaurant on the beach. The menu was vegetarian, fun and healthy.

The highlights for the kids were the bouncy castle, a game of pass the parcel, some eco-friendly party bags and, of course, the cutting of the Frozen cake!

The parents were able to relax too with tapas and wine, knowing that the children were in a safe and comfortable place.

 

All in all a successful afternoon!
